“Some embodiments offer a method of creating a graphical user interface for a research platform. A request is made by a user to the research system for information regarding a specific category. The method creates a chart showing a series of events that occurred over a given time period. The method transforms the chart into an interface for that particular category, which is then sent to the user. Some embodiments create a list associated with a particular category and generate an interface that displays that list. Each event is represented by a title from a document that the research system identifies as being representative of it.
